D Magazine Fashion Blog -- Patinaed Ridged Tablet Leather Bracelet

LMG&Co. is being featured again this week in the D Magazine Fashion Blog! They're giving away the Patinaed Ridged Tablet Leather Bracelet. Guys love this bracelet because it's smaller but statement-making... it's also easy to stack with other bracelets as well. A gotta have for this summer!

New Organic Peace Sign Earrings

I love this peace sign... it's so simply and funky -- full of texture and grooves. We have it available as a leather necklace, on a chunky chain as well as a small rolo chain, but we needed earrings. So... we've just added the earrings today!

FGI Dallas Career Day 2009

Last Friday I was honored to be a guest speaker for Fashion Group International of Dallas' Career Day. This was the first time I was a bonafide "speaker," so it definitely was exciting to share some of my insights as a fashion entrepreneur with a number of students (and a couple of faculty, too) from New Orleans, Oklahoma, Missouri, Nebraska and around Texas (I hope I remembered everyone!)

Each year, FGI Dallas hosts over 1,100 college students who have traveled from across the country for a full day of networking and fashion career-oriented sessions with professionals working in the industry. But the day culminates with an amazing fashion show featuring a variety of the students' designs modeled in a professional fashion show. True WOW factor!

Several scholarships were awarded based on fabrics and overall design, including an amazing scholarship to study in Paris for the summer. Ooh la la!

I've included some of my shots from the fashion show. Fashion was served proudly... our future Chanel and Lacroix was absolutely represented here!

LMG&Co. Online Store Open for Business!

Welcome to our new site and blog! The e-commerce site has been an extremely long work in progress, but I’m so proud of finally being able to bring LMG&Co. jewelry to everyone.

A little about me: I’m originally a Midwest gal
who married a Texan who is most certainly David Bowie’s long lost twin.

Did I always know I’d be a jewelry designer? Not in your wildest dreams! But I’ve always been a creative spirit… as a child, I always loved running my fingers over my grandmother’s vintage rhinestone necklaces and other shiny things. I don’t know what exactly struck me to take my first of many metalsmithing classes some years back, but I loved it.

So…. to present times…. I'm an artisan who has grown her hobby into a business. When I’m not working in the studio I love music (singing/piano), cooking (Top Chef anyone?!), writing, developing other new projects, and spending rare moments of time with my husband.

I hope to share new goings on (the inside scoop, shall we say), things that make me happy or are intriguing, and other delicious tidbits along the way.
